Born in Montreal, Nicole Gélinas had a strong leaning towards the arts.  She obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at he university of Quebec in Montreal, in 1976.  She is taking a real pleasure in using two mediums, watercolor and oil painting.  Nicole Gélinas is before all a color  master.  Color and light seem to dance in her works, creating images of a world that is as lively as it is romantic.  A figurative painter with an impressionist flavour, she takes part in many exhibitions in her region of  Lanaudière.  Her paintings are held in a number of private collections in Quebec as well as in foreign countries.
